At BMW of Cincinnati North, formerly known as BMW of Cincinnati North, our Cincinnati BMW dealer, we’re exceptionally proud of the three models that were the top ranked vehicles in their categories according to the J.D. Power 2015 U.S. Initial Quality Study. Also, BMW ranked 6th among all brands. This is considerably above the industry average. As a result, we are thrilled to be a part of such a wonderful brand.
Reaching the Top
“IQS is the leading indicator of customer delight in the initial phase of ownership as it measures not only how well our vehicles perform but also how well our dealers are doing in demonstrating the functions of the new vehicle,” said Ludwig Willisch, President and CEO, BMW of North America. “The model rankings show improvements across the board from existing to new models with the clear challenge being to improve and simplify technology.”
In the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study, the BMW 2 Series was ranked the highest for the Small Premium Car division; the BMW 4 Series was ranked the highest in the Compact Premium Car division; and the BMW 5 Series was ranked the highest in the Midsize Premium Car division. But that’s not all. In addition, the BMW 7 Series was ranked second in the Large Premium Car segment. Not too shabby. Now, Cincinnati BMW drivers have even more of a reason to gloat.

Among the nameplates, BMW ranked 6th with 99 PP 100. This was a nine point improvement from last year. PP100 is the J.D. Power standard measurement of problems per 100 vehicles. The 2015 industry average is 112PP100.
The 2015 J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study is based on responses from over 84,000 buyers and lessees of a new 2015 model-year-vehicles who were surveyed after 9- days of owning the BMW. The study took place between February and May of 2015.
